Jennie Kwan (born Jennifer Trinidad Fernando; September 9, 1973) is an American actress. She’s known as Samantha “Sam” Woo on California Dreams, and as Suki’s voice on Avatar: The Last Airbender. Kwan started playing with the touring group “Kids of the Century” at the age of 11. Her first television appearance was in 1991 as Audrey’s voice in Little Shop, a series based on the 1986 film Little Shop of Horrors.[1] Kwan is most notable for portraying Samantha Woo on NBC’s hit show, California Dreams. She auditioned for Tiffani’s lead role in 1992, but lost Kelly Packard. The accident, however, made them best friends to this day. She has appeared in an episode of Beverly Hills, 90210. She began performing as Kim in Miss Saigon’s Chicago production in January 1993.
