Biography

Jacob Collier is an English singer, arranger, composer, artist and multi-instrumentalist based in London, England. His split-screen video covers of popular songs including Stevie Wonder’s “Don’t You Worry ’bout a Thing” started to go viral on YouTube in 2012. Collier’s style fuses jazz, cappella, funk, rock, electronic music, classical music, gospel, soul and improvisation elements and often incorporates intense reharmonization. In 2014, Collier signed with Quincy Jones ‘ management company and began working on his one-man, live audio-visual performance vehicle, designed and built at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.[3][failed verification] In 2016, Collier released his debut album, In My House, which was entirely self-recorded, orchestrated, performed and created in his family’s small back house in Finchley.
