Amethyst Amelia Kelly was born on 7 June 1990, best known as Iggy Azalea, an Australian rapper, singer , songwriter, model and music video producer. At the age of 16, Azalea moved to the United States to pursue a music career. After releasing viral music videos, Azalea received mainstream attention for her songs “Pussy” and “Two Times” on YouTube. Shortly afterwards, Azalea signed a recording deal with American rapper T.I. 's label Grand Hustle and released her debut mixtape, Ignorant Art (2011).
She was the first foreign and female rapper to make XXL 's annual Top 10 Freshman list and later participated at the 2012 BET Hip Hop Rap Cypher Awards.
She dropped out of high school and moved to Miami alone to get closer to the hip-hop scene, living illegally before receiving a five-year O visa.
Amelia Kelly was born in Sydney, Australia. Her father, Brendan Kelly, was a painter and comic artist who introduced her to art at an early age. She got engaged to NBA guard / forward Nick Young in June 2015, but the couple parted a year later. She started dating Playboi Carti in 2018 and the couple welcomed a son named Onyx together in 2020.
