Gregory Gerald Antonacci was an American TV Actor, Director, Producer & Writer. He was born on February 2, 1947 in New York City , New York , USA. He is best known for portraying Johnny Torrio in Boardwalk Empire every season, from 2010 to 2014, and as Phil Leotardo's right-hand man Butch DeConcini in The Sopranos from 2006 to the season finale in 2007. Antonacci was born in Hell's Kitchen in Manhattan. As Director, Producer & Writer, he has worked on a variety of television shows, including Busting Loose, Friends, The Tortellis, Total Strangers, The Royal Family, The John Larroquette Show, Herman's Head, He's a Living, Soap & Other Episodes. He is best known as an actor for his roles in The Rockford Files, such as Vinnie Morabito on Busting Loose, Tony Manucci on Makin' It, Butch DeConcini on The Sopranos, and Johnny Torrio on Boardwalk Empire. In 1976, during season two of Laverne & Shirley, he played the role of Hector in “A Nun 's Story” and “Good Time Girls.” He made a cameo appearance as a mobster in the movie The Family in 2013. Antonacci was also a Playwright, theater actor & director, involved in multiple productions and roles at the La MaMa Experimental Theater Club in the East Village in the early to mid-1970s. He wrote & performed the 1971 Off-Off-Broadway musical “Dance Wi' Me (or The Fatal Twitch)” directed by Joel Zwick & produced at La MaMa. This play was re-produced at La MaMa in 1974, and then renamed and re-produced as the Broadway musical “Dance With Me,” which opened on 23 January 1975 at the Mayfair Theater in New York City. Antonacci married Actress Annie Potts in 1978. They were divorced in 1980. He married Actress Lynda Costanzo in 1981. They have one child. He died at the age of 70 in Massapequa, New York, on September 20, 2017. His death occurred exactly one week after Frank Vincent, who played Phil Leotardo, the boss of Butch DeConcini, on The Sopranos.
