Best known as one-half of the country duo Dan + Shay, he became popular with the 2013 release of his band's U.S. Country Music Chart #7-ranked hit “19 You + Me.” His band's debut album, Where It All Started, released in 2014. His duo opened the 2014 tour for country singer Hunter Hayes. Before pursuing a music career, Carnegie Mellon University studied finance.
