Brent Spiner Biography
Brent Spiner was born February 2, 1949 in Houston, TX. He is best known for his role as the Star Trek Lieutenant Commander Dataon: the Next Generation series and the films that followed. He had a show guest appearance, Frasier, opposite David Hyde Pierce. He won a national speech contest in high school for dramatic presentation.
At 29 years of age, Jack Spiner died of kidney failure when Brent was 10 months old. After his father passed away, Spiner was taken over by his mother's second partner, Sol Mintz, whose surname he used between 1955 and 1975. He entered Bellaire High School, Bellaire, Texas. Spiner became involved on the Bellaire Speech Team, winning the National Dramatic Interpretation Championship.
