    Black Thought is best known as Rapper, Songwriter, Actor who has an estimated Net Worth of $25 Million. American rapper better known by his stage name Black Thought. He co-founded the Philadelphia-based hip hop group The Roots in 1987. He was born on October 3,1971, Philadelphia, PA. He won a Grammy Award as part of The Roots in 2000 for Best Rap Performance by a Duo/Group for the song, You Got Me. He performed on the Philadelphia streets in a duo with drummer Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson after meeting him in 1987. He collaborated with Erykah Badu on the Grammy Award winning song, You Got Me. He was born with the name Tariq Luqmaan Trotter to parents Charles and Paula Trotter, who were part of the Nation of Islam. He married Opal Trotter in 2010. His zodiac sign is Libra
