In June, 2016 Gomez was confirmed to be in a relationship with American professional football player Sebastian Lletget. Gomez suffered an “out-of-control fan attack” in Mexico City while on tour with Fifth Harmony in October 2017. When leaving the hotel, her security guard tried to hold back fans. Several fans pulled her to take pictures with her. Gomez took the incident to Snapchat and revealed that she was dealing with anxiety, explaining why she ran during the commotion.
